DNA
A scientist would tell you that the purpose of DNA is to store all of the genetic information an organism needs to develop, function, and reproduce. We know that the Church is more than an organisation, but the living body of Christ and therefore an organism, which means it also has its own kind of DNA. At Hills Baptist, this DNA comes in the form of our core values. Like DNA, these values shape our identity and determine why we do what we do. This series will dive into these core values, exploring what makes us tick and values identify a follower of Jesus. We’re going to look at our DNA’s foundations - the values that ground us and the things absolutely central to this Christian life. We’re going to look at our DNA’s fuel – the values (or more precisely person) who leads us to that foundation. And finally we’re going to look at our DNA’s features - the vital elements that we expect to flow from the foundation.
