Easter at HBC

From the first garden of creation to the garden where the tomb stood empty, Easter tells a story of loss turned to life and sorrow turned to joy.

No matter what season you find yourself in - waiting, grieving, searching, or celebrating - you are invited to gather with us as we remember the cross and rejoice in the resurrection.

There is hope that still grows. There is life that still breaks through.

Come, return to the garden.

You're Invited

With ten gatherings across four Adelaide Hills locations, there are plenty of opportunities to join us as we reflect, pray, and celebrate together. Wherever you’re coming from, you are welcome.

Got Questions?

Our services begin at the advertised start time, but we recommend arriving 10–15 minutes early to allow time for parking, checking in kids (if needed), and finding a seat. Easter services can be a little fuller than usual, so arriving early helps you settle in comfortably.

Each of our campuses have a carpark that you're welcome to make use of and plenty of on-street overflow if needed. Our team will be available to help direct you when you arrive.

Our Easter services include worship through music, Bible readings, prayer (talking to God), and a message focused on the hope of Jesus’ death and resurrection.
  • Good Friday is more reflective, focusing on the cross and the sacrifice of Jesus. This service will also include communion. During the service, we’ll explain clearly what this represents and who it’s for. You are welcome to participate if you feel comfortable, or simply remain seated - there is no pressure either way.

  • Resurrection Sunday is celebratory, centred on the hope and new life found in the resurrection.

Services typically run for around 90-120 mins depending on which campus you attend.

Absolutely. We love having children as part of our church family, and Easter is no exception. Kids are warmly welcomed at every gathering across the weekend.

Passover Meal (Thursday):
  • Children are welcome and encouraged to attend. It’s an interactive evening, and we recommend kids sit with their family so you can experience it together. A Parent Room will be available.

Good Friday:
  • We invite children to remain in the service with us as we gather as one church family. A Parent Room will be available.
Prayer & Worship Gathering (Saturday):
  • Children are welcome to attend and participate. While there won’t be a separate kids program for this gathering, families are free to engage in a way that suits them.
Resurrection Sunday:
  • Our full Kids Program will be running, including creche and a Parent Room. We’re excited to create a fun, safe, and meaningful environment for your children as we celebrate Easter together.

And if at any point you’d prefer to keep your child with you in the service, that’s completely fine. We love having all generations worship together.

Absolutely. Easter is a time when many people come to explore faith, return to church after some time away, or attend with a friend. You’re welcome to come as you are. No background or prior knowledge required.

You’re free to simply observe and take it in at your own pace.

Whatever you feel comfortable in. Most people dress smart-casual, some a little dressier for Easter, some very relaxed. There’s no dress code. You won’t feel out of place.

No. You won’t be asked to stand, speak, or introduce yourself publicly. If you’d like to connect with someone after the service, our team will be available - but that’s entirely up to you.

No. Giving is something our regular church family participates in as part of their ongoing commitment. If you’re visiting, there is no expectation or pressure to give.

Our venues are accessible for wheelchairs and prams.

If you have specific accessibility needs, feel free to contact us ahead of time - we’d love to help make your visit comfortable.
